 Felicity Keebaugh


 Felicity Keebaugh first trained in 1989 at The Foundation of Shivaga Komarpaj, Old Chiang Mai Traditional Hospital, under Pichet Boonthummee. She returned to the UK and began practising as a Thai masseuse, whilst training as Iridologist, specializing in nutrition and naturopathy at the Institute of Iridology and training in other forms of bodywork. Felicity brings an understanding of both allopathic and alternative medicine to deepen the understanding of the human condition using Thai massage as an act of compassionate loving, giving relief to pain. She is a teachers and practitioner of Thai Massage within the Sunshine Network. To develop her skills further and return to the land she loves, she made yearly trips to Thailand, training with traditional tribal masseurs and with the Masters Chiayuth Priyasith, Pichet Boonthummee, Super Lek, Lek Chaiya and Asokananda and so has deep understanding of this phenomonial healing system. Now based in Chiang Mai she is able to train with little known traditional practitioners whose knowledge is able to accessed so this healing massage stays alive and dynamic.

She ran a successful practice at Tri Yoga in Primrose Hill, London and has an international client base that she treats throughout the year. Having completed her advanced studies with Asokananda in 2001, Felicity taught beginners course in the Lahu Village, about two hours outside Chiang Mai. She now mostly teaches at the Sunshine School Chiang Mai, Thailand and via appointment around he world. She is also available for private tuition and treatments.     felicitythai@yahoo.co.uk

This coming year she will be teaching Side Position, specifically developed for pregnant women and those who cannot lie on their back. General advanced where we look at the reason why we are using specific stretches, learning more advanced stretches, working with different health conditions and body types. Therapy courses dealing with typical problems that clients have, and how to diagnose and treat. Energy lines and how to effectively use them to create balance and Field work to increase your ability to quickly assess the problems and direct the treatment for the relief of the main issue.

Teaching both the novice and practitioner has allowed her to develop her skills so as to give each student what they need to improve the quality of their work. She has trained in spiritual healing and metaphysical studies as well as other forms of passive bodywork, including Reiki and cranial sacral release. Due to the amount of treatments she has given, she is able to be very specific about which asana are applicable for specific body types and conditions. Through her understanding of the charka system she is able to instruct on how to know ones self so as to be able to give the correct treatment to the client. As this massage involves energy exchange, she teaches how to protect against picking up negative energy. Her approach to her massage clients is based on a therapeutic approach and she incorporates healing on a physical, emotional and spiritual basis.
